BENALEC HOLDINGS BERHAD was incorporated on 12 July 2005 as a private limited company under the name of Benalec Holdings Sdn Bhd. Subsequently, we were converted to a public limited company and assumed our present name on 29 Sept 2010.
BENALEC Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 1978 as a contracting company specialized in undertaking civil engineering projects.
Today, Benalec Group is one of the leading integrated one stop marine engineering & transportation specialist with combine in-depth knowledge & support services experiences in marine & ciril engineering works.
We own a large & comprehensive fleet of 93 marine vessels such as bulk carries, cutter suction & clamshell dredgers, sand pump ships, crane barge, hopper barges, tugs and barges & wide range of marine equipments. Benalec Group own a shipyard in Port Klang to undertake in-house ship building, ship repair & ship maintenance.

Benalec has in a short span of time emerged as one of Malaysia's own top-notch homegrown integrated marine engineering and transportation specialists. It is a class "A" Civil and Marine Engineering Contractor registered with Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor (PKK) and a Grade G7 with the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB).
Benalec has an excellent and proven track record to complete projects ahead of schedule and within budget in Malaysia. Projects completed include reclamation & dredging works, rock revetment works, shore protection works, beach nourishment works, jetty construction and offshore structures in Langkawi, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Melaka, Port klang, Port Dickson and Johor.
Benalec has expanded to Singapore with the setting up of Benalec Sdn Bhd Singapore Branch, which also achieved ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditation and registed with Building & Construction Authority (BCA), Singapore under CW02 - B1 and under SY01 - L6.
